On-site investigations accompanied with testing performed by Professional Engineers who are Certified Fire and Explosion investigators (CFEIs).  Engineers have the chemistry and physics scientific education to determine the origin and causes of fires and / or explosions.

The trend in this industry is that more Engineers, and even some lawyers, are becoming Certified Fire and Explosion Investigators.  This fire and explosion training allows lawyers to understand the training, methodology required to perform an adequate investigation.

The investigations conducted by Testlabs International Ltd. Professional Engineers are backed by full laboratory support, NFPA 921 training and certification.

Fire and explosion investigations are conducted for various reasons including, but not limited to:

  1. Cause of insurance loss
  2. Prove or refute a claim of arson
  3. To prove validity of insurance coverage
  4. Determine if defective equipment caused the fire
  5. Determine depreciation of fire / explosion damaged equipment.
